![]() ![]() Or I guess I should say that we stayed for part of the weekend, because when we arrived they said they were overbooked and put us in a taxi to the Excalibur, a total dump. I stayed here with my wife over Memorial Day weekend. Cons: Off the strip, wearing down, balconies locked, palms hotel in state of decline Pros: Modern, spacious, no casino in the lobby, full kitchen, washer/dryer, great value for the size of room. Also, the Palms hotel itself seems to be in a state of decline. This was disappointing, to say the least. The balconies were a key feature of this property and the management does not let you use them anymore. Sigificantly, they now LOCK THE BALCONIES. Certain things in the room - such as the DVD player - were broken, the room number on the wall was not attached, the kitchen was worn. The rooms are still very nice, but it seems that they've let the place get run down quite a bit. ![]() ![]() This past time, staying in the same room, I noticed a noticable decline. The furniture and layout were modern, trendy, and overall outstanding and impressive. The first time here, about 3 years ago when the place was new, was an excellent experience. I've stayed at the Palms Place 3 times, both in the studio and one bedroom suites. ![]()
